The reason for that is she's probably releasing up all her pent up feelings from being imprisoned all her life by wearing underwear most of the time. Being in just her underwear gives her a sense of liberty and free from the restraint called cloth (lol).

And, her addiction to wine. It seems like it's connected to her past as well. She probably drowns herself to wine so that she wouldn't remember her past. Being drunk helps her forget, albeit temporarily, all the bad memories. And of course, it's also an act of freedom.

Damn, that's very interesting. Shounen anime have certain tropes and the most common of them is the Shounen anime MC tropes. These tropes include being an absolute glutton and having the ability to change fate. Although Asta still fall into some of these tropes (like being an idiot or having a secret OP power), he doesn't exactly fall into the two tropes I mentioned. These two tropes were taken away from him and instead, placed into other characters; being an absolute glutton on Charmy and changing destiny to Vanessa.

For world trigger, Yuma (white haired boy) is more of a friend of the protagonist, whereas Osamu (glasses boy) is the protagonist, with whom we see the story from.

Osamu is a nobody in the setting of World Trigger, he doesn't have any special abilities or is super smart, he's not powerful. But he does have some luck and happens to befriend people who are powerful. the story is about him using whatever and whoever he has, to advance his own goals that of his friends.

Shounen mc's, whilst they do tend to be powerful, there are some wherein the mc struggles to gain power, or start from the bottom. a better example of all around weak mcs would be "Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash" i've only watched it once, so i can't remember who the protagonist is, but all the main characters are weak, and struggle to even win against goblins. We see the story of their struggle for survival in this new world that they find themselves trapped in.

Maybe there are some limits to the power like the cats reach and speed as well as Vanessa’s intuition about which person to choose whose action she wants to bend to her favor. Also we don’t know if the power affects inanimate objects without will, like a falling rock or a natural storm.

Could also be that she's manipulating probabilities rather than people's wills. As in, making someone miss on accident rather than making them decide not to hit. That's a bit less OP.

Also it's pretty ironic, she always thought she can see the future and even made Vanessa aware of her potential but she didn't even once think of it backfiring on her because ITS THE POWER TO CHANGE THE DESTINY meaning the future she would have seen wasn’t necessarily going to follow up as she would have seen because Vanessa would change it everytime, this just means that she had a lack of authority and was overwhelmed by Vanessa's ability. The story saddens me and makes me feel deeply for Vanessa 🥺.
